Vroom is another rental service by SOCAR that allows you to pick up and return a vehicle you need at where you want.
For Vroom reservation, Vroom charge is added for bringing the vehicle to the pickup location to the call-in. If you change the return location, a return location change charge is added.
To rent a vehicle using Vroom, you must rent a vehicle for at least 4 hours. The available time, location, vehicle, and detailed charges can be confirmed when making a reservation.
■ Vroom charge
When using Vroom service, Vroom charge for moving the vehicle to the requested location is added to the existing SOCAR charge.

■ How to pick up and return a vehicle
• We will bring a vehicle to the pickup location designated when making a reservation. We will collect the vehicle if you park the vehicle in the return location designated when making a reservation or changed after making a reservation. The delivery status of the vehicle will be notified on the information screen within the app and by KakaoTalk notification message.
• The vehicle will be delivered to the pickup location designated when making a reservation by 10 minutes prior to the rental start time. It may arrive sooner depending on the situation.
• If the vehicle arrives earlier than the rental start time, you may advance your reservation and use it right away at no additional charge.
• Our driver will collect the vehicle soon if you park the vehicle in an empty parking space at the designated return location. Even if it is before the end of the reserved length of rental, we will collect it immediately.
※ If the collect location is a no-parking zone such as a child or senior protection zone, crosswalk, bus stop, or bicycle lane, we may contact you to request to change the it to another location.
※ If it is difficult to park the vehicle we are bringing to the pickup location, we may park it in a nearby pay parking lot. Parking fee incurred in a pay parking lot must be borne by the member who made the reservation. Parking fee of approximately one hour may be incurred.

※ If you arrive more than 60 minutes earlier than the rental start time, we will refund the parking fee partially. If you are eligible for a refund, a message will be sent through KakaoTalk. Click the Application for Refund button in the message to apply.
※ We will cover the parking fee incurred after returning the vehicle.
※ However, if you do not use the vehicle after calling it to a pay parking lot, additional parking fee may be charged.
※ Only pre-registered vehicles may freely enter and exit SOCAR Zone. Even if you call a vehicle setting the pickup location to SOCAR Zone, it may be considered as a visitor’s vehicle and parking fee may be incurred.

• Six major metropolitan cities - Incheon, Busan, Ulsan, Gwangju, Daejeon and Daegu
• Sejong
• Gyeongnam - Gimhae-si, parts of Yangsan-si (Mulgeum-eup), Changwon-si, Jinju-si, Geoje-si, Tongyeong-si, Sacheon-si
• Gyeongbuk - Gumi-si, Pohang-si, Gyeongju-si, Gimcheon-si
• Gangwon - Parts of Gangneung-si (Gangneung Station), Wonju-si, Chuncheon-si, Sokcho-si

※ Even within the above areas, in some areas, Vroom is not available or the return location cannot be changed. Check in the app when making a reservation.
■ When Vroom is not available
• Vroom is not available in areas shaded in grey in the map, or when there is a notice that says “Vroom is not available in this area,” when selecting a pickup location on the map.
• Vroom is not available even when there is a notice that says “Vroom is not available yet in this area,” when searching a pickup location.
• It may be temporarily unavailable when it is difficult to bring a vehicle due to road conditions even in an area that is available in principle.
■ How to make a Vroom reservation (How to change the return location when making a reservation)
① Press [Call here] on the main screen of SOCAR app
(or press [Pick up] on the main screen, move the map screen of SOCAR app, place the pin where you will pick up a vehicle, and press [Call SOCAR here], or select a vehicle with a Vroom tag at a SOCAR Zone where you can pick up a vehicle with a Vroom reservation).
② Check the location and time of use, and vehicle at Vroom home.
③ Specify the pickup location and then select the type of parking lot you will pick up the vehicle.
④ Check the pickup and return locations and press [Complete location setting].
⑤ Set the rental time and return time and press [Complete time setting].
⑥ Select the vehicle you want and press [Next].
⑦ Check rental information and press [Next].
⑧ Agree to the terms and conditions on the payment information confirmation screen, and click [Make a reservation].
■ How to make a Vroom reservation (How to change the return location after making a reservation)
① Press Usage history of the reservation ▷ [Change] of rental return location or Smart Key screen ▷ [Change return location]
② Specify a new return location to the changed location and press [Return here]
③ Check the additional charge and press [Confirm] or [Pay]
④ Check payment information, agree to the terms and conditions, then press [Make a reservation]
※ Changing the return location after making a reservation is only available for vehicles that are not reserved after your reservation. Check whether [Change return location] is available when using it.
※ Changing the return location after making a reservation is only available in the latest version of the app (v15.15 or later). Update the app to use it.
※ Changing the return location cannot be canceled and any additional charges cannot be refunded. Cancel the entire reservation to cancel the change or get a refund.
■ Cancellation fees
• Cancellation fees may be incurred up to 30% depending on the reserved rental period and time of cancellation.
• For Vroom, a penalty of KRW 10,000 and a consignment towing fee will be added to the cancellation fee from 2 hours prior to the reserved length of rental.

• Vroom is only available when renting a vehicle for 4 hours and more. The available time and location of pickup and return, and corresponding charges can be confirmed when making a reservation.
• A penalty will be charged if the vehicle is returned to a location other than the designated return location.
